Ongoing Conflict in the Solar System 3033
Terran Federation
The Moon: There has been an ongoing low level insurgent “Independence” movement going on for decades. Although most of the members of the Lunar Libration Army have fled to the Hilda region of the Asteroid Belt various small cells continue to fight the Federation Guard and local authorities.
M.S.S.R.
The Asteroid Belt: Several rebel independence movements and insurgencies going on in the Asteroid Belt. Mostly on Ceres and 4 Vesta. These movements have formed a loose alliance called the “Freedom Coalition”. Both Martian State Troops and Partisan Militia forces have been involved in the fighting with the rebels.
The Asteroid Belt Hilda Region: The Martians have employed several mercenary companies including the Star Guards and the Hell Knights to hunt down and destroy The Devil’s Legion pirates who have raided several Martian settlements in the Main Belt region.
Jovian Empire
Jovian Trojans “Trojan Camp”: The “Trojan Camp” of Jupiter’s Trojan asteroid is engulfed in a full scale communist uprising. Two legions of the Emperor’s Guard as well as several household regiments are involved in fighting against The Peoples Trojan Army.
Jovian Trojans “Greek Camp”: Hostilities continue in the “Greek Camp” between the M.S.S.R. and the Jovian Empire despite the Terran blockade of the region. Because of this dispute several Mining corporations are fighting each other over mining rights issued by the opposing factions. Numerous mercenary companies are involved in the fighting as well as Martian and Jovian forces. Many pirate bands from the Hilda region of the Asteroid Belt have been active in the region as well.
Europa: Duke Stephen Von Wurtzberg died without an heir leaving four separate factions vying for the throne of the Grand Dutchey.
Ganymede: A rebel insurgency is fighting against Baron William Smithton due to his abuses of the people who live in his Barony.
Confederacy of Outlying Systems:
Rhea (Saturn System): The Hell Knights mercenary company is currently fighting against Exeter’s Light Horse mercenary company over a financial dispute involving back payments for surplus equipment.
Titania (Uranus System): The Hell Knights mercenary company has been involved in a three year conflict with citizen militia on Titania near a spaceport called Station 42. The mercenaries are working on behalf of Smith and Wilson Agriculture Corporation who have claimed to have legally purchased several private holdings in the region.
The moon of Neptune: Pirates from the Kuiper belt have been raiding several settlements in the Neptune system. It is believed they are massing for a large raid on the moon of Proteus. The local government and the Confederacy have hired a number of mercenary forces to bolster the defenses of Proteus and other priority targets.
Vanth (The moon of Orcus): The Kuiper Rangers Militia have been laying siege to several Pirate holdings on the small moon. Many pirates from Vanth and Orcus have been resisting the Rangers.
Makemake: The Kuiper Rangers are fighting against the Star Guard mercenary company working on behalf of Durgan Heavy Industries over a territorial dispute between the corporation and locals. This conflict has been going on for six months.
